Edgar Pangborn was an American mystery, historical, and science fiction author. After a 20 year writing career, Pangborn began to paint semi-professionally, exhibiting portraits, nudes, and landscape paintings at local and regional art shows near his home in Bearsville, New York. This still life was painted in 1973, three years before his death.
