Acme Bread founder Steve Sullivan started out as a bus boy as Chez Panisse, eventually becoming the in-house bread maker. He and his wife Suzie founded Acme Bread when Steve’s breadmaking outgrew the kitchen at Chez Panisse, becoming pioneers of San Francisco’s Bread Revolution.
